Early Intervention

Early InterventionEarly Intervention

Early intervention is crucial for infants and toddlers identified at risk for autism or other developmental disorders.  The focus of treatment is establishing social-emotional relationships using techniques such as floortime.  This has a cascading effect leading to social, language, play, and cognitive development.  Parental involvement and use of these strategies at home during routine and daily activities are important ingredients of the success of the outcomes and their child’s progress. It is a collaborative model with parents and other service providers.
